Get Your Pitches Ready
On Nov. 15th 2020, ASME Philadelphia hosted their inaugural Engineering Slam competition. University design teams from Drexel University, Swarthmore College, Thomas Jefferson University and Villanova University competed to pitch their ideas to get some funding. The students had 15 minutes to convince the judges they had the winning idea. ASME Philadelphia provided the funding and the awards committee ( Marcus Besser, Fred Willis, Antonios Kontsos and Arulselvi Selvaraja) judged the competition along with Director of the Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship Charles Sacco. It was a fun night of engineering, pizza and friends.
